A luxury, fair trade leather journal, covered in beautiful Indra leather and embossed with either a Celtic Knot or tree of life.  They will make a great diary, travel journal, inspiration book or simple notebook.

Celtic knots are complete loops that have no start or finish, that symbolise eternity whether in love, friendship, faith or loyalty, so this journal makes a really thoughtful gift.

The tree of life symbolises a fresh start, positive energy and good health as well as a connection to nature, so this journal makes a really thoughtful gift.

Each journal contains approximately 125 pages of unlined paper bound into the leather cover. The paper we use is called Khadda paper, which is hand made from recycled cotton that is leftover from the massive garment industry in India. It is acid-free and a beautiful paper to write or draw on.

Dimensions: 13.5 x 18.5 cm

By buying this product you will be supporting the work of skilled artisans and craftspeople in Rajasthan, India.

All the products in this range are made by a small family business in Rajasthan who we have worked with for many years following Fair Trade guidelines. We visit every year and we now know the producers and their families well and consider them true friends. We are proud that together we are able to provide people in rural villages fairly paid work that would have otherwise been difficult to find.

The khadda paper used in the products is handmade using recycled cotton leftover from the massive garment industry in India. The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.

The leather used for the covers is a byproduct of the meat industry and is tanned using natural dyes.
